Telecommute Opportunity: Junior / Mid-Level ColdFusion Developer

After successfully finding a very impressive Flash developer for the small firm that I work for by posting to my blog, I decided to post another position we are looking to fill.

We are in need of a Junior to Mid-level ColdFusion developer to work remotely. Our main office is in Manhattan but all of us developers work remotely (2 of us are in Orlando).

The right person would have 2 - 4 years of solid ColdFusion experience. We are not looking for someone with all the knowledge and experience in the world. Just someone with a good solid understanding of ColdFusion and a strong desire to learn.

Any experience with Fusebox 3 or later versions would be a huge plus as all of our applications are written using FB3 and FB5 in the newer ones. Knowledge and experience working with MSSQL preferred but not necessary but some level of knowledge working with Databases (either MySQL, Oracle, Postgres) will be needed obviously.

If you are wanting to learn and expand your knowledge as well as gain some really great experience while working from home, this could be a great opportunity for you.

If interested, please send a copy of your resume along with contact info and salary requirements to russ@strikeinteractive.com or feel free to contact me using any of the methods below if you would like to discuss further or have any questions.

Flash Developer Needed ASAP On Contract Basis

The development company I work for is in need of a Flash Developer on a contract basis. We have 3 projects right now that need attention ASAP, two are new development in which you would receive the design comps and storyboards but your input and suggestions would be well received and considered.

The other project is an existing site for a very high profile client that needs some updates and changes to their existing site.

Must have experience in Action Script and pulling in dynamic data. Must be able to provide examples of related work.

Please no beginners. These projects are VERY big clients and we need someone who has experience pleasing these types of clients.

If interested, please email me your resume and examples or any questions to russ at strikeinteractive dot com.

Feel free to call me at 904.305.1655 if you would like to discuss the opportunity as well.

This is a telecommuting position on a contract basis.

Its Official... 1st Week At My New Job Is In The Bag!

Well, actually it was in the bag Friday afternoon but I have been busy with some Trac_Fu updates this weekend so I didnt get to post it Friday.

I left the position I had with Point and Pay, Inc down in Winter Haven, FL. It was not an easy choice, but I felt I couldnt pass up the opportunity that I am on now.

Im now working for Strike Eagle Graphics doing ColdFusion/Fusebox development. Im really enjoying it so far. The company is owned by Joshua Rockoff who is an awesome guy to work for. We have some great clients as well. This is a first for me, Ive never worked for a development shop that wrote applications for outside clients before. Every position that I have held in the past 10 years was writing applications for that particular company, so this is a bit different for me but I really like it so far.

Strike Eagle is located in New York city so I get the pleasure of working from home here in sunny Florida! Still trying to get my home office totally together and comfortable but its getting there.

Another cool thing is that everyone that works for Strike Eagle is running a Mac with the exception of one, and he is supposed to be getting his soon. Thats pretty nice. We get to use iChat for video conferencing and the video quality is great!

Looking for a new Gig?

The company I'm working for is hiring another ColdFusion developer to join our team. There are 3 of us now with a combined 19 years of ColdFusion eperience and looking to add one more developer before we start a major rewrite of our existing software.

The new system is being written on CF7 using Fusebox5 and weighing heavily on CFC's. The company has a total of 10 employees and has been in business for over 5 years. We are going national and are needing to rewrite our current system to handle the expansion.
